Perinatal Non-Directive Counselling
Pregnancy can be a lonely time. Sometimes causing problems in relationships. Unplanned pregnancies can put a strain on finances. Or with little to no social support, it’s an emotional roller coaster.
I provide you with a safe and relaxing, non-judgemental environment. This is your time to talk and explore how you are feeling. Look at decisions you want to make or have to make. Even having to make difficult decisions such as abortion or adoption can be a very lonely time. If this is not your first pregnancy and you suffered from postnatal depression before, then now is the time to make sure you have all the support necessary.

Postnatal issues affect many of us. It doesn’t matter from what ‘walk of life’ you come from, most mothers in the first few days go through the ‘baby blues.’ Even the returning mothers may go through the same cycle. You become teary, you are so tired and the overwhelming feeling of responsibility does take its toll.
Gone are the days when extended family were there to support new mothers. Changes to lifestyle, financial burdens, sleep deprivation, or having to return to work earlier than you wanted to. Sometimes, birthing experiences can be traumatic. Or, breastfeeding is not quite what you expected.
